I've been doing this marketing thing for over 12 years and have always had a passion for digital marketing.

I was fascinated by this world from day one and spent eight years leading digital marketing team marketing agencies before moving to the Corporate side and running the digital marketing department for a nation-wide grocery store. I've launched a wide variety of marketing programs over the years and have always loved 'geeking out' over the analytics.

In 2013, I took a leap of faith and became a vacation rental owner with my parents at Lake of the Ozarks, MO.  They had owned the home for years prior to me joining and were lucky to break even each year. I just knew I could help.

They were awesome property managers, house cleaners and hosts but the marketing side was a constant source of frustration that left them feeling overwhelmed. 

 

After diving into the vacation rental home industry and applying my years of digital marketing experience, I grew the rental income by 58% in the first full year and 125% after three years (see the full rental success story on the blog).

Our friends with vacation rentals in our area saw the success we were having and referred to it as 'Heidi's Vodoo Magic' (true story!). I always found this phrase so funny because it made our success sound so mysterious but the truth is everyone can leverage the same tools I had to run a profitable and successful vacation rental business.

 

I realized then that there are so many great vacation rental homeowners out there that are running fantastic businesses and just need a little help with the marketing side of it which led me to start Fully Booked Consulting, a vacation rental marketing company.
